Renovation of Davis Hall at Friends University in Wichita, KS.

Buckley Roofing in Wichita, Kansas is a respected major roofing company in business since 1883. They chose South’s Finest LLC. to produce the fiberglass replicas of many hundreds of metal components on one of the most complicated and ornate metal roofs ever built in America. |
We worked closely with the whole Buckley crew to solve this complex conversion to FRP, as a record sized hail storm had demolished the slate roof and sheet metal cornices and spires. Timing was critical, as the weather in that region is unforgiving. The job could have taken much longer, but was accomplished in eight months. |
South’s Finest has worked on many major buildings in our 30 years in the fiberglass business. This was one of the most challenging of all. |
Buckley Roofing has won the coveted NRCA “Gold Circle Award” for outstanding workmanship on this magnificent reconstruction of Friends University, Davis Hall, one of the most unique and loved historical landmarks in the country. They certainly deserve it. |
